Queen Amara is the archmaster of Io.
Appearance
Amara is a white mink about the size of a raccoon. She has dark ears, paws, and tail tip, resembling a stoat in winter coat. Her eyes are a deep blue.
To represent herself as royalty, she often adorns herself with jewelry and gold. She loves to wear golden cuffs around her front paws as well as a large spiky tiara. When suited for battle (often just for intimidation), she wears large metal claws over her own and wields an ornate bladed staff.
Personality
Amara is a self-proclaimed queen who puts herself above everybody else. She is disagreeable, haughty, and short-tempered. Ironically, she is not as egotistical as she may seem; she recognizes her flaws and imperfections but hides them behind her bossiness and arrogance.
Of course, she is often at odds with the other archmasters because of her behavior. She will object to legislation that requires unanimous agreement between the archmasters just to "demonstrate" her power.
Amara loves to surround herself with beauty. Her desire for valuable items comes from her love of elegance and style rather than simply greed alone. Although she would never dare show it, she has a lot of respect for skilled artists, musicians, and other creatives.
Amara is extremely reluctant to open up about herself or her internal issues. She is extremely concerned about upholding a particular image of herself: that she is powerful and worthy of respect. She succeeds in hiding herself from most fae; Sebi is the only major exception. Although she still presents herself just as hostilely and coldly toward Sebi, she keeps him relatively close and has just a tiny bit more trust in him.
