New Existence

New Existence is the hypothetical state of incomprehensible physics that result from The Shattering. It is a description of what the universe will be after the ripples of The Shattering have subsided. The physics are assumed to be vastly different and nonsurvivable for all known life.

Fae are in disagreement over whether New Existence currently exists beyond the Shifting Lands: whether the ripples from The Shattering have already subsided anywhere in the universe. At least, New Existence is the end result of The Shattering, ultimately including Luxtia after the Cirrolite Core is no longer strong enough to protect it.

Scientists generally agree, however, that many physical processes, including biology, will be substantially different in New Existence. At a lower level of exergy, less exergy will be workable. Important biological processes will likely require more exergy than it currently can create.
